In Japan they have this art form called Kintsugi. It consists of repairing pottery that have broke with gold. Instead of hiding the object's "scars" the goal of Kintsugi is to put them forward so as to show that they are part of it's past and that they can be made even more resistant and prettier.

~Emma’s POV~                The bell chimes as I push open the white wooden door, and I kick the door behind me, making it slam shut, while my arms were busy carrying a large paper bag filled with food from Granny’s. It was my turn to pick up lunch from Granny’s. Not only was my grilled cheese in the bag, but also David’s burger and Killian’s sandwich. But, with Killian nowhere to be seen in the station all morning, I wasn’t sure if my dad and I were going to end up splitting his lunch. It’s odd for him not to be up at the crack of dawn.                  I sigh and adjust the large bag in my arms.

 Twirling in the air, the copper penny reached its limit and then dropped back down, through the stagnant air, to land with a clank on the red,square shaped, table top. The coin’s descent ended with a hand slamming down against it. Manoeuvring, the coin through the crook of her slender fingers before sending it back into the air again. The process was repeated over and over again, until the penny was snatched out of mid air by a tall woman wearing a tight fitting, red and white stripped dress. “What are you doing Cordillia?
